    Healthy Eating for a Greener World

    MIDDLE SCHOOL

    Through compelling photos, videos, and fun trivia challenges, this interactive middle school presentation explores how food choices impact both personal and planetary health. Using the latest nutrition science, students learn how choosing more nutrient-dense meals can support lifelong health while conserving natural resources and helping combat climate change.     The Power of Plants

    ELEMENTARY

    With vibrant photos of colorful food, nature and kids, The Power of Plants, is a lively and interactive nutrition lesson, with a special emphasis on cool beans from around the world. Includes trivia,  physical activity and an optional no-cook culinary activity. The program serves as the first lesson of our eco-focused, multi-cultural and standards-based nutrition curriculum, Cool Beans from Around the World!

    ELEMENTARY

    With allusions to classic fables, students enjoy story time, with a whimsical and modern day tale about kind deeds and cool beans. After story time there is a short nutrition science lesson about the power of eating beans for healthy and earth friendly protein, plus a culinary activity and tasting of Queen Bean’s Stupendous Bean Stew.

Cool Beans from around the World Nutrition Curriculum

In our standards-based, multicultural & eco-focused “adventures,” elementary enjoy a virtual tour (Google slideshow) of wondrous places and wonderful food. Students learn about healthy eating in the context of diverse culture and cuisine.
